The memory of his life is a celebration for us and we will treasure the many wonderful memories of his laugh, that ornery twinkle in his eyes, his logic, his endless heart and a life full of goodness. His thoughtful, methodical habits informed his curiosity about current events and his honesty and integrity were an inspiration. He enjoyed sports and lit up the phone lines every time the Buckeyes played. He relished his role as chief information officer of the Steele clan and his family looked forward to his frequent newsy updates that kept us connected over the miles. Fred loved to banter and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a devoted husband who expressed his love through his steadfast and generous care.
